Weapons and factions in Hamburger Hill

The itch.io page is the weapon list. It gives each faction a one-line identity and four weapons with a short description. It does not give damage, range, magazine size, or price. Those cells stay blank here.

All weapon and role details here are Wesware official single-source evidence, checked 2026-10-29. I copied the weapon lines off the store page and then checked the 0.2.0 and 0.4.0 devlogs for anything added later. The M83 Torch is in the 0.4.0 post, not in the original four-weapon U.S. list. The .50 cal is in the 0.2.0 post and is not assigned to a faction there. I am not going to invent a “best gun” ranking on top of that.

What is shared, and what is not numbered

Official role clips say radio operators, engineers, and medics exist for all three factions. That is a role claim, not a second weapon table. Nothing on the store page says the campaign locks you to U.S. weapons only. The developer has said the current campaign is the single-player focus and that unique campaigns per faction are a future idea, which is not the same sentence as “only American guns today.”

Questions

What are the three factions called?

The itch.io page names U.S. Forces, the Federate Army of Granovia, and W.A.R.L.O.R.D.Z. It does not use “Opposing Forces” or “Mountain Irregulars” as the faction titles.

Which weapon is best?

Wesware does not publish a tier list or damage table. The page’s own descriptions point at roles: the M60 is belt-fed suppressive fire, the M66 Tube is a disposable rocket, the Long Rifle is a hard-hitting semi-auto, and the M18 Broom is close-range buckshot.

When was the .50 cal added?

The 0.2.0 devlog (2026-10-23) adds a .50 cal machine gun. The 0.7.0 notes do not. The devlog does not say which faction receives it.
