Which Hamburger Hill did you mean?
“Hamburger Hill” is four public works and one extra itch.io title. The same name refers to different subjects and products. This page is the index. The film, the battle, and the board game each have their own page. The 2026 FPS is the subject of the rest of this site.
I kept the dates that disagree on the battle page instead of averaging them, and I did not call the board game “released in 2021” from a catalogue year of 2021. The Cadet Games page says the design is done and the product is not manufactured.

Why the names collide
The film, the board project, and a lot of search traffic are about the May 1969 fight for Hill 937, also called Đồi A Bia. The 2026 game uses the English nickname and a Vietnam-war atmosphere, then moves the fiction to Granovia. Nothing on the Wesware page says the game simulates that battle or adapts the Paramount film. A second, smaller itch.io game by cohenpark uses the same English title and is on hold. It is not a build of the Wesware game.

Questions
Is the 2026 game based on the movie?
No source says that. The game is set in a fictional country, Granovia. The developer wrote on 2026-10-25 that the war and the country are intentionally fictional, with a loose Vietnam War echo. The film is a 1987 dramatization of the 1969 battle.
Is the board game the same product?
No. Analog.Games lists the Cadet Games project with a catalogue year of 2021, which does not establish a release or entry-creation date. Cadet Games says the design is finished and has not been successfully crowdfunded or manufactured. The video game is a first-person shooter by Wesware.
There is another itch.io game with this name. Is that Wesware?
No. cohenpark.itch.io/hamburger-hill is a separate Windows action game, listed as on hold, about 158 MB. It is not the 0.7.0 Wesware project.
